I got my Christmas present early

I love this forum but I have been a windowz guy all my life. What forum do you Mac users frequent? I have a lot of questions!

You can get a lot of news and information from all the important Mac related sites at MacSurfer.com. I go there daily for my dose of all things Apple...

Bean Word Processor: Bean: An OS X Word Processor

NeoOffice freeware/donationware office suite: NeoOffice Home

OsiriX PACS Workstation and DICOM opening software there is a freebie.
About OsiriX
Opens MRI, CAT scans, angiogram videos

formulatepro - Overlay text and graphics on PDF documents. Great for filling out forms. - Google Project Hosting

Emmulators for Windows.
CrossOver: Windows Emulator for Mac OS X and Linux - CodeWeavers

Boot Camp apples own.

I'd recommend repairing Disk Permissions monthly and before updates and new installs. Monthly verifying the Hard Drive if strange happenings occur.

Don't want to overload, enjoy.

Mac Forums They have a specific area for "switchers" that was invaluable for me when I saw the light.

If you have a friend that knows a little about Macs ask them. I would suggest plinking around and doing the self taught method. It's more fun that way. Apple has a section on switching over on their site as well. The Mac is meant to be user friendly so don't be afraid of it, just jump in the deep end.
