Another Laptop Battery Recall Today - 09-28-2006, 03:24 PM

500,000+ being recalled from Lenovo's thinkpad line (They bought out the laptop line from IBM) that were made by Sony. This makes the 4th recall and over a couple million lithium batteries being recalled.

I would not be suprised if some camera batteries may get called in since they are pretty much using the same technology but just have a lower power draw than the laptops.

So I would keep a heads up for a while.

I was nervous there for a second but I got on their website and my laptop (T60p) isn't affected. These battery recalls are getting to be an issue with every manufacturer it looks like though.

If you think about it, overheated batteries should not come as a surprise considering all we expect out of a computer.
