Angelo,

If you are interested in the eSATA, I'd be happy to explain or show you my setup. I have not enabled RAID but it is an option depending on which system is purchased. Again, check out the barefeats.com reviews.

Here is another drive you could get. Pretty simple, and supports USB 2.0, Firewire 400 and Firewire 800.

I'll second that- I have a couple of the 300GB My Book Pro's and they have been great so far (only 8months with them though). I have an old 80gig Maxtor UATA drive in a FW enclosure that's worked solid for 7 years now too. Never owned a Lacie, but it's all we ever used at Apple and they took some decent abuse without issues.
