Who still sells flatbed scanners?
Im here in Houston and I am in need of a regular flatbed scanner in order to scan in some of my parents old photos..
Went to Bestbuy and no luck, nothing there that wasnt an All In One device..
Any suggestions? Does Fry's carry them, Microcenter? | | | | | Sponsored Links | Premium Members do not see Google advertisements. SIGN UP today and help support our community.

Abel,
I have a deal for you. When my new to me used Epson film acanner arrives in the next week, I can make you a good deal on my very low mileage, quite good actually, HP scanner. It does normal flatbed scanning, 35mm slides & negatives (3-4 at a time) and has a document feeder for volume stuff. Even sends faxes to your computer.
Give me a holler if you're interested. I won't have room for two scanners.

I've seen them in the office supply places like Office Depot, Max, etc, but not sure how recently. Would seem that Fry's and Microcenter would carry them if anyone did.
But all in ones are much more popular.

Come to think of it, you could have it this weekend. Make me an offer I can't refuse. I have all the software, cables, film stuff, etc. In fact I used it to scan 35mm film last week.

Don't knock the all in ones, I have seen an HP that also has a built in DVD burner and I think you can do a direct transfer.....just something to think about. Frys has this HP model as well. | | | |

Fry's and Microcenter are your best bet in Houston. They have a good selection. You also might want to check craigslist after you select a model.

Bought a Canon flatbed last weekend at my local Best Buy. I finally had to ask one of the gnomes where they were. They are not located by the all in one machines
