Or, on my monitor at least.

I finally broke down and bought a Color Munki Photo so that all my snapshots will look just like the living room in which I took them.

Anyway, any hints/tips on using said device? Previously, I've used the Huey-Pro.

I have a Professional Photographer Magazine issue that reviews the X-Rite ColorMunki.
It mentions how difficult it is at setup but also how great of a tool it is.
I'd be glad to scan the article and email it if you'd like. (I hope that sort of thing isn't illegal, is it?)

Thanks, I wonder if they have it online?

Anyway, it wasn't that hard to setup. I haven't profiled my printer yet (one of the main reasons I bought it), but profiling my monitor was very similar to using the Huey Pro. So far, I'm happy, but the proof will be in the prints.

Just wondering how you're liking the colormunki? I got mine today from HCE. I've profiled my monitor, and it works just like the eye-one display. very simple and easy. I need to profile three different papers, but I'll mess with that tommorow.

I have only heard bad things about the Munki unfortunately. I was just about to order one but ended up getting the Eye-One Display 2 after reading several comments on pro4um. Everyone suggested the i1 Display2, I bought the $300 setup, but wish I had the money to get the $1K kit. It does not do as much as the munki but apparently it is better. Well, let us know how your munki works, I hope it does what you need it to do and that is works great.

Very interested to know how your prints turn out after using the colormunki and any difficulties you may have with setting it up, profiling your monitor, printer and more specifically, whether or not your monitor profile "sticks" or goes away if you let the computer hibernate.

The reviews on Amazon are the most detailed negative reviews I have ever seen on a product, which is why I'm interested in how it goes for you.

FYI: I have had a chance to use it, set it up, and profile three different papers. It is absolutely perfect. I had the eye-one display2, and although that gave a few more options with monitor profiling, the colormunki does just as good a job, if not better. The main reason for buying this is to profile papers because I am using an aftermarket CIS with my epson printer. The colors I am getting with the CIS are just as good as what I was getting with the epson. My prints look very natural, without any oversaturation. What I see on my monitor is exactly what I can expect from my printer. So, To break it down, just go out and buy it. Ignore the bad reviews. They are probably just user error.
