Wacom Tablet & CS - 02-13-2009, 11:54 AM

Since Wacom has the promotion for CS at a discount with the purchase of a Intuous3 and found this coupon for the 4x6 tablet.

http://ak.buy.com/buy_assets/retail/...db_40wacom.pdf

I am wondering, would it be worth getting the larger pad than the 4x6?

Thanks in advance...Ken

I do like the large pads, but if you can get a deal on the 4x6 I would jump on it. That size seems to be the most comfortable for most people.

Ken, I have the 6 X 11, but I also have a bamboo that is almost as large as the 4 x 6. I like them both, they both have compromises.

The easiest way to look at this is that with the 6 X 11, I find myself moving my hand more, with longer strokes. but this allows you better detail.

Imagine drawing a picture on a 6 X 11 piece of paper and the same picture on a 4 x 6 piece of paper, and then using a copy machine to blow up both pictures to the exact same size. Chances are that the picture on the 6X11 will be more detailed, because you has so much more room to work with.

+1 for what Tarick said.

I started with a 4x6 Graphire and now use the 6x11 Intuos. I much prefer the Intuos and never run off the edges in mouse mode.
