What to do with EXTRA Copy of iLife '09? - 02-18-2009, 01:23 AM

If you haven't heard my epic sob story about my unfortunate experience with a Macbook Pro, you can read it in my other thread.
Short story: I ordered iLife '09 Upgrade before I knew I was getting a new computer, so I have an extra un-used copy of iLife '09 since my new unibody came with one in the box.
What should I do with it?
What could I do with it?
Sell it?
Donate it?
Pirate it? (J/K!)

I haven't even looked into it. Can't recall the last time I used any of the iLife apps...well..perhaps Garage band a couple of times...LOL

Anything good in 09?

If you donate I would like to try it out ...

But a good suggestion would be raffle it off or host soem type of contest maybe use it as a give away..

or just sell it.

yeah I am sure plenty of people would be interested in it, myself included, I would say either sell it or raffle it, or give it to the biggest sob story or something.

I've never used either '08 or '09, but I've been reading/watching videos about the great features of '09 from the Apple website.
The biggest attraction to me is the movie stabilization in iMovie '09.
I don't think I'll be using iPhoto much, if at all. I'll be using either CS2/Bridge and/or Aperture. I have a lot of learning to do.
Is it legal to trade for other software?

Unless you are really hurting for cash, perhaps chalk it up to an innocent mistake. We all go through this.

I say a contest and would limit one entry per person.

You could use it as a coaster or a frisbee.

(What's the name of that circular weapon that Xena threw to slice and dice foes?)

If you decide to donate it or sell it...I'm interested. If you want a sob story...did I mention that I'm poor (ok...I'm blessed, but frugal)...have two small children (true)...donated my copy to a poor student so that they wouldn't have to sell plasma to buy a copy (writer's embellishment). I could go on...

I think a contest of some type is in order as well.
