Adobe Bridge/Photoshop CS2 won't recognize Canon .CR2 Files?! - 02-19-2009, 02:26 AM

I just installed CS2 into my new MBP, and was expecting great things.
When I go into Bridge however, I cannot see thumbnails of any of my RAW files, or Canon .CR2 files. I try to open one in Photoshop and it says "Cannot open. File not recognized by Photoshop" or something like that.
Please tell me there's a simple fix to this.
Help!

Probably just need to upgrade CS2 to the latest version to get support for your cameras.

This is the newest version.. I assume if you install this it will update the support for all the previous versions

If not, this is the one that adds compatibility for the 5D
This is the version for the 5D

Ok, I think that fixed it. I panicked for a bit there. It still wouldn't work after I updated and restarted Bridge, but I closed Bridge for a while and then opened it after opening Aperture, and they started to recognize.
Maybe Bridge saw that I had another program I can use for RAW Editing and got scared I might now use it, so it decided to act right...
