Hey I have a DVD I need too get some video off of that is something new to me what do I need ? will movie maker do it ??

don't think it will... you really need a program that will copy video from dvd to a hard drive then run it thru a program like movie maker and cut out all but the part you want to keep.

from the website it looks like the second one may be just what you need, it does say that it will capture video from the dvd to your hard drive. That would be your first thing to accomplish, then edit it down to the segment you want to keep
