With any technology there will be technical issues and servers will go down. The mark or a good company is the quality of it's contingency plan.

Our primary server is backed up to a secondary server. It is set to kick in if there is any issue with the primary server.

This is what was happening over the last few hours and the reason why we disabled admin access to the sites. As you will have seen the actual websites were up and accessible to your "potential" clients, which is of course the important bit. We had disabled access to the CMS so you could not upload information to the secondary server which would then "disappear" when we restore the primary server. The issue with the primary server has now been resolved, tested and is back on line, as is your access to your admin panel.

This is the first time our contingency plan has been tested by a primary server outage and we are pleased with the fact that all sites remained up, but we have also made notes on some room for improvement in the process as a whole.
