Creativity Exercise #6: Be bold, be colorful

First things first, thanks goes out to Jezebel for submitting this idea.

This exercise focuses on color, but not just any color, complementary colors. For those confused, complementary colors are colors that lie across from each other on the color wheel. The challenge in this exercise is to finds way of obtaining and using this complementary colors in your scene. This may sound difficult at first, but once you start looking for these colors, you'll see that you're surround by them. One word of advice, try making your scenes simple, but bold. This will help strengthen your composition and keep the attention on the colors. Good luck and have fun.

Rules:

1. Any photo equipment you want to use is legal.

2. Basic photo editing only (same as in the previous exercises).

3. Each participant can post up to 3 of their favorite shots.

Next Exercise: 12-02-2005

Since I have suggested this topic on another forum before I thought I would share some images I grabbed off Corbis for inspiration. I'm going to save showing some of my own pics because I'd like to make new ones for the challenge.

The first one is a flashlight and a fan.

The second one is a glass flower.

The third one was at the zoo.

I made this picture by moving my camera in a spiral pattern while focused on the LED lights in my computer room. The blue light is from my speaker system, the three green lights are from my DSL modem, etc.
