Organized by Crow Collection of Asian Art at Dallas, it's an annual celebration of Indian dances, music and art...oh, food as well. Outstanding music and dance performances from the India association of North India, wonderful people with colorful culture. My dream of photo-op. Well... the stage set up could be better, it was rather discouraged for photoG but off stage was another story. I want to thank srini for the head-up and parent of those wonderful kids giving room for photog.

All shot with 20D, 135L f2 and few with 85 f1.8 with no flash. I'll post a few and the rest are here, CC are welcome.

They're all nice photos but the color, composition, and especially lighting in the last one are fantastic! Good job.

What a colorful culture.
I like them all , but #4 stands out as a VERY impressive image. Composition, color, DOF really first rate...

Thanks for the kind comments,

I watch, read and learn from ya... nothing ordinary. I have to admit #4 made my day..just that one picture alone it makes me feel..... i done it.

Funny thing she wasn't the gal i was looking for, i was busy shooting with the other girl (behind her). She is pretty and has smile lilke a million dollar baby, but i failed her... Anyway i have few of her in my gallery. Then this girl came toward me, she is a nature alright, she posted then moved a small step every 5 seconds or so... it's like she knew my working distance and tell me what to do and i am glad she did.

ps, howdy craig, you remember me from FW zoo? We met with Jerry together. I plan to go back there for a meet real soon, I think Srini and John been talking about it. We'll have group hug real soon...

Howdy Daniel,

Of course I remember you, but that was Derek and I that met you that day at the Zoo. Now that the weather is cooling off I will sure be up for more Zoo shoots, just let me know when ya'll are planning to go. I am not sure of Ya'lls schedules but Sunday mornings seem to be the least crowded and more peaceful.

It's called Dan autosize 1 pixel action , i actioned the framing workflow. It kept 20 pixels base border, 1 pixel overlay border and image itself so you can change the layer property such as color or gradient overlay as you please by click on the image, creating a simple yet pleasent border blended in the image.
