Hi I just wanted to post some of the photos I took. These were with a Rebel XT and the 18-55mm kit lens.

Any comments, good or bad.

Looks like the photos aren't loading for some reason....

Spoke too soon... loaded the second time...

1. You might try smaller photos if you are going to post so many, it may be why it took so long to load and why you didn't get a lot of attention the first time.

2. The BMX shots are GREAT .. I would love to get out and do shots like that.

Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for putting your shots here for us to see.

Comments: The kit lens seems to be working ok for you. I might suggest getting a little closer to the subject if possible. The background in a photo can be very distracting. Also be aware of what is in the background when you shoot. I have a pet peeve of things sticking out of peoples heads, etc. These kind of things can be repaired in Photoshop, but takes a lot of work.

I believe these were all had held? Especially when using slower shutter speeds, a monopod will improve your shots many times over. You can get a good one for around $50.

A really nice start. These are good photos, and you should be happy with them. But, we can all improve. That's why we put our shots on here for comments.

Keep 'em coming....

Nice cycle action shots. You should crop them closer to the cyclist and get rid of some of the surrounding. I sure missed going this year so enjoy seeing others photos.

Thank you for your comments they were all hand held except for the night shots I had a tripod on those. I didn't want to crop the bmx shots because I liked the way the surroundings looked. But I did have a few other ones where their was a light pole in the background that I did not like.
