White Rock Lake tonight

Tonight I went to White Rock Lake and took some pictures just to release some steam and be alone for a bit. I took pictures of all the birds and waterfowl, then some of the scenery, and as I was leaving I saw the skyline up on this hill and HAD to stop. I got several pictures of it, with and without runners, cyclists, and walkers, but I loved how this one turned out. :) I know it has some technical issues, but I still like it anyway.

COOOOOL!!! Laurie, I like it. The runner is the key. I used to go to White Rock Lake a lot but not lately. I need to go there more often when it's cool like this.

Thanks...it was just gorgeous last night. The temp was perfect and there were very few people there.

ooooh i loooove the shot of the road with the person at the end. i think perhaps i would have cropped out a little more of the left side so that the focus is drawn towards those beautiful golden hues.

White Rock has some fall color coming out (in parts of the park anyway), so everyone that has a chance should stop by and take a few pics! :)

The first picture is beautiful, didnt realize it the first time I saw it, love the light and the way the road stripes are leading the eyes to the light, really beautiful...

Lauriel, beautiful shots. The last time I was out at White Rock Lake was 3 years ago - shooting B&W film. It's definately time to get out there again. The first shot with the runner and skyline is very good but I defintately like the one with the road (and Jezebel's crop) the best.

BEAUTIFUL shots!!! And who cares if "technically" they are not perfect (as you said) . . . for those of us that simply enjoy photography for the emotions a picture can stir, these are "perfect"!
