Hey y'all. Wondering if anyone can recommend a place for outdoor family portraits that is wheelchair accessible. My "clients" (in-laws) live in northeast FW/HEB area, and I wondered if there was someplace very close to them. I don't think they mind a drive, but not clear across town if we can help it.
My first two thoughts were the Grapevine Botanical Gardens and also Ft Worth BG. Grapevine has quite a few steps to walk if you want to get everywhere, but also quite a few flat paths that would work well and get you to some nice shady areas and the fountain. I've only been twice, I may drop by once more and scope it out with accessibility in mind.
FWBG might work as well. I was thinking of the lower path to the rose garden with all of those hanging vines/trellises. But that may be a little far from the accessible parking spaces, and I don't recall whether those sidewalks are smooth concrete or bumpy aggregate. And it could be crowded, especially in the areas that would best accommodate such a group as ours. We will be going out early Friday morning, so maybe crowds wouldn't be an issue.
Anyway, other ideas would be much appreciated. TTC Northeast campus, or one of the libraries. I don't need ornate flowers and such, just a nice green backdrop and some dappled shade.
Maybe this would be more appropriate in the "locales" subforum, let me know if I need to move it. Thanks! |
