A nice series of images. I thoroughly enjoy events like this, especially living history. That's why I look forward to Christmas At Old Fort Concho each year. This year it is 2-4 December. I'm hoping it will be cool weather. They always seem to have a better turnout as the season gets colder. At least I get better pictures then.

Nancy

I considered going over there, but couldn't get organized. Did you have to pay to enter the area where your pix were taken ?

Looks like a rather pricey event

The Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering Tickets

Especially after we just blew a bundle at the Texas State Fair last night

Very nice pictures. Wasn't it fun to see them all dressed up and cooking outside like that. I went to it last year and really enjoyed myself and got some good pictures. I guess it changed if you had to pay to get into the area these pictures were taken. They were set up and cooking right along the street and it was free to get into that area.

Thumbs up Great Composition, Color and Clarity - 10-23-2005, 05:21 PM

This is a wonderful series with your usual fine eye for composition plus a true-to-life color and clarity which is amazing. You are making that fine camera really sing.

Thanks to one and all for the kind comments. This camera makes it very easy!

The RS Chuckwagon Cook-Off was free except for the special events like the rodeo, the cowboy poetry and horse shows that were inside the buildings. This cook-off area outside was freely accessed. Great place to enjoy with friends!
