Camera Lens Repair - 07-21-2009, 09:34 PM

I broke one of the lenes to my Nikon this weekend and need to get it repaired. I bought the camera from Competitive Cameras but I was looking for something closer to get it fixed. I am in the Keller area. Does anyone know of a good reasonable repair shop? It's needs to be fixed ASAP. Thanks

I've had great luck with Archinal Camera Repair in Richardson, but it's not close to Keller.

Ft. Worth Camera Repair is probably closer. It's on 5th St. I think not too far from Will Rogers.

I just had a nikon lens repaired at Camera Repair Center. The guy is located on White Settlement and his name is Ed 817-335-7463. I got his info from Arlingtong Camera.

I have bent pin in the card writer/reader on one of my D200's. Do you think it's something Ed could fix?

call first to make sure you go to the right place.

Don't go to the camera repair place on white settlement near jacksboro highway.
They took a Nikon and I never saw it again.

I would call and talk to him first before I go over to make sure it is a repair he can make or if it has to be sent to nikon.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I received 2 quotes from area places prior to getting it fixed they were 300-325 estimates. I decided to mail it to Nikon myself and it was 125 and I got it back in just 3 weeks. The lens is in perfect condition now and of course has the 2 year warranty. Thanks again!!

Robert at Archinal is really good, and very honest. I've taken lenses to him before that he won't fix because the level of repair needed. He won't take a lens and destroy it like I've seen at other shops. If he can fix it, he will, and he'll do it right.

lol, I guess this is an old thread in which I've already responded with pretty much the same response... fail
