So I got to shoot at the new Cowboys Stadium last night. It was for a soccer game and they estimated the crowd at above 70,000 so it was a fun event to test out the new stadium.
First off, let me say that if you miss the old stadium it's only because you haven't been to the new one. Jerry spent the money well.
So here's an overview of my first time here:
The stadium is beautiful from the outside. Grand, shiny and impressive. It even smells new (I compare it to a new car smell):
This is a shot from the press room (which is impressive in it's own right). This is one of the best views in the house:
When you get down to field level and look at that screen it seems 10 times as big as from the press room. It's beyond huge!
Here are the field level suites. They have at least 3 tv's, kitchens and seem very comfortable. You can see the green grass of the field to the left. I have no idea how you watch a game with all the players standing in your way but I'm sure Jerry has a plan...
This is a view from the endzone. Also a set of suites:
Upon closer inspection reveals seats to die for:
There are lots of cool details all over the stadium:
And at the end of the day, you leave pretty proud to have a building like this in your city:
Oh, and what would it be without the man himself. It's his house, there's no doubt about it:
Joe
PS. Before the game started they played a slideshow showing the construction process and I have to give strong kudos to the photographer(s) who took the pictures - they did an outstanding job!
