Newborn posing workshop - 08-03-2009, 10:47 PM

So anyone know of anything like this http://babyasart.com/newborn_workshop/ in the dallas area? Also that maybe cost less? I LOVE this whole squishy baby trend and would love to hear some of the secrets to get them this way! Just thought I'd check here as you guys always seem to know about stuff like this!

I've heard that those two photogs (or read) are among the "hottest" right now. Don't know of anything similar.

Wow! They charge $1300 for a non-layflat coffee table book!

Here is a workshop coming to Dallas. It's not solely devoted to newborns but I know there is a section for newborns. I think she mentioned to me that she had 5 in her previous workshops and was hoping for the same in Dallas.

That sounds fab!! I'd not seen this one. Would actually be right up my alley! Sadly since I"m a victim to this lovely economy and lost my job I can't afford that one either :(. I found one for $300ish but it's not in driving distance:( I'll keep trying to learn on my own I suppose!! :)

They are amazing and totally worth the price. I would go if I did not have a baby myself! I actually wanted to hire one of them for my baby's newborn pictures but my husband told me to just do it myself I ended up being bedridden for a month and will never forgive him!!!

My husband said that to me once... he will never live it down cause I'm sorry it's just not easy to get good natural photos of yourself! If money grew on trees I'd go to that workshop in a heartbeat!

I'm with you! That's probably a good price, but my my my! If I had it, I'd do it. I'm good at post production, but I'd love to know the secrets of posing, etc.

If anyone does find a good one, that's "affordable", let me know too! Those pictures are great.

Study their photos and can probably figure out the posing and lighting yourself.

If it were only that easy!! I can figure out the poses just fine... it's just getting the baby in it and keeping them there that's the issue!! :):):)

Good rule of thumb, if the baby is a one year old then you have a one minute window to work with. Two years old you have two minutes, etc. not easy at all.
