JC Penney corporate Event - 10-27-2005, 04:37 PM

I am a member of Event Photographers Online and I get emails about people needing photographers for different jobs in Texas. When I get the email, I have to pay 1-2.00 for the contact information if I want it. I don't have the contact info, but I got this one today and you all in DFW may know who to contact to get the info if you are interested....

Good afternoon, Some things have changed on the JC PENNY event, we now need 5 photographers for the date of December 10th 2005 due to the large amount of people attending this is a huge event, this is a great opportunity and experience you can add to your portfolios, we have a per hour budget at $125.00 per photographer plus all materials and extras if any, again it is located in Plano Texas at JC PENNEY headquarters and is a three hour event and is from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. It is a roaming candid shot project we need to close this deal soon so if your interested but don't have the crew we can bring in several different photographers from several different studios as long as you have no problems working along side another photographer. Please only apply if you are in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. Thank you, Melissa

If someone else is making a proposal, I am available that day for shooting.. but I don't want to be put "on point" for it (dealing directly with the client), so to speak.

I signed up. Sent the email, and got a quick reply that the job had been filled.....

here's how it works by the way.

You go to the site fill out the information form.
You are sent a password.

You go back to the site and search for opportunities in your area, interest, etc.
If you find something, it will cost your up to $6 before they send you the contact information.

You have to put money in your "bank" before they will send you the info.

I'll try it for a while and let you know what is up...
It appears legit, but who knows ??
