More Freakin Zoo Pics - 10-30-2005, 04:05 AM

Here are a few from Saturday when I met up with Criag and Karen and Nancy.
Pbase is acting all jacked-up, so I will only post a few.
I was like the only person at the Zoo that did not have a 400mm lens. So some of these are cropped quite a bit.
The one with the pappa Lion is not cropped. How does the green in the forground look?
I kind of like it. But would like to get others opinions.

Howdy Jake,

These are wonderful images Jake, some of the best I have seen to date. I would say you are going to have a long and wonderful time with your new camera.

The First image with Precious standing guard over the new cub is an excellent image, in all aspects, great composition, tack sharp, and the toning is perfect.

The Other images are wonderful also , tack sharp, wondeful exposure, just not as powerful as the first one, but I would love to have just one of those on my "Memory Stick" !!!!

You really did yourself proud with these Jake, especially with your first time out with the 20D, I think we can all look forward to many, many more wonderful images.

Take care,

Wonderful photos... I love the one of mama lion leering over her cub. She looks fierce, like she is ready to protect those cubs!

Thank you, but before you say that keep in mind that the first 3 are so cropped that I would be luck to get a 5x7 print out of them

Great shots of Mom & babes. Jake, I like the green with "Dad" too. Wish we had been able to see them, but I have a feeling we will in the near future. Did the boys enjoy their time there?

Thanks Karen. The boys had a blast, Ethan fell asleep in the wagen before we even made it back to the car.
