With all the rain and cool temps, lots of fungi are popping up. Just wondering if anyone is up for a 'shroomers challenge... The greatest variety? The most attractive still life study? The most interesting natural occurrence? (size, shape, location, fairy rings, etc.) Edit... I just checked the weather and it looks like clear sailing until late next week. I was in Austin last weekend and so the coolest growth of shroomy fungus ever. Of course, I didn't take a photo even though my camera was in the car! |

Oh man, this would have been fun. We had a whole bunch pop up in our backyard, but my husband got rid of them pretty quick cause I was paranoid my dogs would eat them, cause they are dumb like that! Shoot your pics and get an anti-fungicide to keep them away. Years ago I had some problems with these. I didn't want them in my yard. They really do pop up over night. I'd like to see time lapse photography on one. |
