I thought the police lookout post was interesting. Too bad they have to go to extremes like that. It didn't used to be that way. But I liked your pictures. They came out good for being in the dark mostly.

Oh yes it HAS been that way. I've been going to the fair for over 50 years and it has always been a rough place to go visit; with thefts, fights, drunkenness. When I was a kid you would bump into more cops than people. Cops were everywhere at the fair. They used to have mounted police in the 1960s & 70s. That made it safer but not completely safe.

It seems like there are less cops today but it may be you just don't see them, now that they use cameras, plain clothes, and other high tech stuff. I still go but I am constantly on my guard.
