Wow, nice shots! I especially like the last one.
You really did a great job capturing the blue color of the aircraft. Did you do much in post?

I think they flew today to get some idea on landmarks around the Alliance area. I believe they will fly their show Friday at 3pm. When I was in SF for fleet week they were flying practice runs days before. You can get an idea of where to be tomorrow, plus some great shots by being there as you were.
In SF, years ago, I had my Sony Mavica which had a 12x zoom as I recall. I got some great stills and short videos of them while on Alcatraz.

Okay. I've got a little head cold and taking meds but it looks like those birds are inverted on the last one and it looks like you are higher than they are???
Were they that low or were you up higher? Nice shot!

I was leaving San Fran a couple of weeks ago and they were doing touch and goes at the airport right outside my gate...Pretty interesting.. I would like to go this weekend...Unfortunately, I have a cub scout camp out in Mineral Wells.. I think we're going to freeze!
Great shots.. I was hoping to have my 7D exchange by this weekend, but it didn't happen. :(
You guys have a good time this weekend.

Great shots!
The EXIF says you were shooting with a 300mm. Did you have a TC on it or is this just at 300mm?

nice pics!! I'm going Sunday morning. The most I have in zoom is my 70-200 2.8L.. I hope that should be sufficient!

I shoot all my aircraft with the 70-200 f2.8L IS.
as long as you are somewhere close, the images will be fine. It's hard enough to find and track the target with a 200mm let alone a longer focal length. CaptainTom added 2 Minutes and 2 Seconds later...Double Post Merged Below
Here's a little trivia test.
How can you tell that these photos were taken during practice and not at the show ?

And, there is a passenger in the 2-seater.
