Nice to meet you and visit for a while at the zoo Saturday. Never got to see the lion cubs so I'll be going back one day for that. I did get a shot of you giving lessons on how to operate a Nikon.

Hey Roy, it was nice to meet you too. I fired off a few shots of the cubs, but none were any good.

Hmm, I thought I saw you taking a photo of me...snickering in the background. I figured you would have posted it by now.

My standards are not as high and for the most magnification I'm still using the cheapo Canon 70-300 so I'm posting shots, good or not.

I'm glad you wore the TPF T shirt. I don't think I would of recognized you otherwise. When I look around at photogs now aday, I'm expecting them to all be TPF members!

Here's a little gift for you..............

Oh how lovely, now I know why I'd rather be behind the camera. Thanks, now I know that I have to trim the ole' goatee.

Yeah, they were there about 11-11:30am. I took ~50 shots, but they were asleep just about the whole time. The only time they moved was to get up and walk into their "den".

Oh well, my wife was the reason we were there anyway and she was upset that she didn't see the cubs play around so I guess we'll be back in a couple weeks.

Boy, I just missed them I should have headed there first because I got there between 10:30 and 11:00, dang! If I lived closer I would have spent more time there at the lion enclosure but it was only the second time I had been to the Ft Worth Zoo and I didn't get to see much the last time. This time the tigers were all in hiding too so I'll have to plan another trip soon to see if I can catch the lion cubs.

Very nice lady. Did she read you any of her poetry or was that my honor alone?

Chipper actually does live at the zoo. She hides in the flamingo compound at closing.

She is not a member of TPF (yet) but she has her picture up on here more times than I have... (a good photogenic idea),

Well she didn't read me any of her poetry while my wife and I were there today, but she did mention it. I see by the fact you're still here to post that it must at least be better than Vogon poetry.

So now you have my curiosity up, how was the poetry?

I have no idea how to answer that question. It was very Mother Earth like I guess. Chipper is the Jane Goodall of Texas.

No poetry for me, but she did recite to my wife. Chipper was very pleasant to talk with.
