BTW Thurs at sunset was spectacular over Dallas with high ice crystal clouds throwing back a spectacular array of colors- too bad I didn't have my camera with me for the 15 minutes of killer color. This time of year we can get those high thin jet stream driven clouds that can really light up the sky after sunset but be prepared since that color lasts no more than 20 minutes usually with about a 10 minute peak window.

BTW I was raking leaves from about a half a dozen trees, had to be done, on Saturday.

Started out the morning having some coffe, and thought this might be a good shot. Spent the rest of the morning practicing some different depth of field techiques around our weekend place on Lake Granbury.

Yesterday I only had one family session down near Waco. I made up for it today by photographing 32 families.

Shot a wedding, mostly indoors, in Grand Prairie. It was kind of hot, actually.

It was for a church directory. Kind of cookie cutter style and not real creative, but it helps pay the bills.

Nice shot!

Weekend place in Granbury, eh? Need a new best friend?

Oh, and I forgot to answer the question ... I was at Cowboys Stadium on Saturday watching a h.s. playoff game but we took only my wife's point-and-shoot. Sunday was a fantastic day, and I assisted on a shoot in the morning at the Japanese Gardens in Fort Worth and then had a family portrait shoot at Prairie Creek Park in Richardson. It was a gorgeous day, even if a bit breezier. The clouds before the storms hit were fantastic.

I didn't shoot anything on the 14th but I did shoot on the 15th right before the storm started blowing in. It was lovely but pretty warm - especially since the family wanted to wear sweaters. I shot over at the Richardson Nature area beside Foxboro park. Nice fall colors out there.

Rats - there I go making a big deal about the weather and shooting last Saturday, and almost all my shots turn out terrible. Seems my exposures and focusing are just going from bad to worse lately, whether I'm shooting manual or priority...
