Question Where were YOU shooting today?!?!?!? - 11-14-2009, 06:03 PM

If you were inside, watching football or whatever you missed one of the BEST DAYS OF 2009 for outdoor photography. (originally poted 11/14/09)

The temperatures were mild, the wind barely blowing, and nearly all day long there was an unbelievably nice layer of high altitude clouds creating a broad atmospheric "scrim". This was one of the few days you could have shot large families in open outdoor areas with well balanced highlights and shadows - as opposed to the flat lighting of overcast days, or the harsh lighting of sunny days.

I saw lots of shooters this morning at the Grapevine Botanical Garden and the Grapevine Train Station. My wife and I were there shooting portraits for family friends. I'll get a few pics posted as soon as I get everything off the cards and sorted.

Where were YOU out shooting today and how'd your shots turn out?!?!?

Didn't have anyone to shoot today. However, I'm looking forward to seeing your shots.

I was out this morning shooting a family at a local park and even though it was a gorgeous day I was still sweating my butt off down here.

I was up at the Hagerman wildlife refuge at 7am. Lots of geese, egrets, and pelicans.

Now I just have to import, sort, and add them to my backlog of photos to edit.

Thurs - Corporate event
Fri - Plano vs. Duncanville Playoff - Go CATS!
Today - Senior portraits... with the other 9000 photographers in Downtown Grapevine.

Good thing we were there early in the AM, because as we were leaving, the droves of photographers with no controlled lighting were showing up.

I was in Zion NP (still am). Can't say that the weather was picture-perfect though, we actually got sleeted on yesterday.

I was doing a family portrait session in Lakeside Park in Dallas. The temps were perfect, the breeze was slight, and the foliage was incredible. The two year old, however, was another story. ;-)
