I took these at my office on the 16th with the D700 and the 14-24mm. They're processed with Topaz Adjust 3. Enjoy!

I have Topaz Detail. It's a lot of fun I must say.

All: Sorry about #2 not showing up... it somehow got deleted from my FTP server so I'll have to put it back up when I get home.

Thanks Jenny!

Cool photos. That first shot makes my dizzy!
Not sure what Topaz Adjust is, but it looks kind of HDR'ish.

Jake: Me too. I almost passed out briefly when I was taking that shot. I have a pretty good fear of heights and I got really queasy and had to walk away from the edge and "regroup" before trying to get the shot.

Topaz Adjust is similar to Lucis Arts in that it finds details where there doesn't seem to be any. It's great for lots of things. Since I had only one RAW file for this image, I thought it would be easier to create an HDR-like image with TA instead of using HDR Max.

First, I like #s 1 and 2 the best. Now, the reason I smiled when I saw these.

Today I was thinking that my 17-35mm f2.8 should find a new home because I don't use it much. It sits in the hat-box most of the time. So I was poking around the internet to see what used values are for this wonderful lens. I came across Ken Rockwell's website and his write up praising this lens. Yeh, whatever. There was another link in the story that convinced me to keep my ultra-wide lens that was Ken's article on "How to use an ultra-wide lens". So, I will keep my 17-35mm because I love using it at car shows. Pictures 1 & 2 exemplify perspective when using an ultra-ultra-wide lens.

Thanks for sharing.

Gotta love that 14-24!! What a beautiful lens that is.

Great shots! Good subject to try that thing out on.

That is one outstanding combo, D700 & 14-24, but you did an excellent job composing and processing it.

Thank you all! I wish that second image wouldn't have been deleted... please come back in a few hours for that one... I think it's pretty cool too and is a photo of just the top floor and the dome.

Wil:

I currently use Aperature which is close to Lightroom (I have a MAC). Do you also have PS CS4 in order to use the Topaz Adjust plug-in?
