I would like to shot at night in a cemetery. I have a fog machine to do some cool affects with. Anyone know of an old cemetery, where head stones or leaning, maybe run down a bit, that I could get into at night (without being arrested) to take pictures?
Any suggestions or ideas would be helpful. I have researched and have not found a whole lot. But the cemeteries that I want, only local will know about.
Thanks so much for your help!

Just yesterday I saw an old cemetery in the Shops at Legacy in Plano. I didn't look at it closely, but it's been preserved due to the age of the headstones. You might look into it.

The old Johnson Cemetery.....south Arlington......right near Mayfield & Cooper, about 2 miles north of I-20. Don't know if it has night access./ http://www.ci.arlington.tx.us/landma...onstation.html

There is another small cemetery in Plano, the Carpenter cemetery on Custer and between Legacy and Hedgecoxe. The Custer Rd. entrance is locked at night but there is access thru the north alley. Can't guarantee you'll be safe working there at night, but I guess you can talk your way out of it as long as you're not shooting something way over the top.

Jen,
I shot the Baccus Cemetery a few days ago and there is a TPF post about it that explains a lot: http://www.texasphotoforum.com/forum...ery-plano.html
Let me know if you want to do something with strobe up there... I can bring a vagabond II and some strobes... if you need.

Thanks so much!
Will--let me look at my schedule. I would want to do it on a full moon and can bring a generator. Think it would be cool. What do you think about using IR with the light and smoke at night?
@ Colyn: Love being in the land of the breathing. The average age of my family is 105...I am 33.... long time to go. But thanks.
@ Hank: Nope....not scared of the dark. will pack a 45 glock for protection though. Hell, maybe one on each hip. Always have that kind of protection. Been in some really dangerous places in my life. Never leave home without it.

It is considered a treaspassing violation to be there at night. I suspect that is the case with most, if not all, cemeteries. Helps prevent vandalism.

There's an old cemetary on the north side of Arapaho just east of Greenville Ave off 75. It's called Blewett Cemetary. I have a google picture. The map location is Blewett Cemetery, Richardson, Dallas, Texas 75081 - Google Maps
The nice thing about this one is there is no one watching it. There are no churches or funeral homes nearby, just a car dealership and DART train parking.
Looks like plenty of room to set up. Good luck.

I don't have an IR modified camera body... do you? I typically just fake it (poorly) in Lightroom. Sounds fun though.
