I just did a senior "grunge" shoot in deep elm. Tons of opportunity down in that are. Will be doing another one soon. It is safe during the day. I felt safe at night because I had Mr. Dirty Harry Special strap to my side.

I agree... Must have C.H.L. I never leave home without it.

Good luck.

Concealed Handgun License

I've looked into getting mine here, but it's like $140 plus the classes and fees on top of that. Hopefully, I'll get it soon when I have some more time.

If I had a CHL, I'd put it in my jacket pocket. I have a denim jacket that has pockets on the inside. They'd be perfect for this purpose. Otherwise, it'd go in my bag (say, in the summer, when I'm obviously not gonna be wearing a jacket!)

Personally, I think we need a V.H.L. In the summer where you gonna put it so it's close for use?

My bag is never so far away that I can't grab it quickly. I learned a good lesson in the Army, NEVER stray further than an arm's length from your weapon!

I wear an "inside the belt" hip holster. It hides well enough under a loose t-shirt. If someone knows your packing, they might notice it. But the average Joe on the street, if they see anything (unlikely) they assume it's a cell phone or something.

Galco holsters; Holsters; Gun holster, pistol holsters, western holsters, shoulder holsters, leather holster and Glock holsters

During the summer I wear shorts with side pockets that fit my gun nicely and it goes unnoticed. It just looks like I have my cell phone or keys there. But easily reachable.

There are probably 100+ answers to that question, all correct!

In cooler weather, when wearing a jacket or layered clothing, hand guns are very easy to conceal. Over the waistband holsters, shoulder holsters, all manor of pocket holsters work well. In hot weather, inside the waist band holsters are probably the most common way to conceal although over the waistband holsters work if shirt tails are long enough. Also some over the shoulder bags can be made to serve well as both a camera bag and a method of handgun concealment. Some even use a photographers vest as a method of concealment. Then there are all manor of fanny packs. The list of methods goes on and on!

As far as grunge places are concerned try some of the side streets along the area in Dallas where Irving Blvd. turns into Industrial Blvd.

Yeah. Sorry we hijacked your thread!!

I've done some trolling around Grapevine just off Main street. I haven't shot there yet, but I think there is some potential for the grunge look. No graffiti or anything, but plenty of old alley ways and such.

Plus, the old train station is there for some variety.
