Butterflies in the Gardens - 02-20-2010, 07:33 PM

Just an FYI for anyone who is interested, this is a year for the butterflies at the Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth, they will be there February 27th thru April 4th. If you have never gone it is a great place to photograph butterflies, but it can get crowded. I always go at 10 am and it is not so bad.

For those who would like a year-around-butterfly-photo-opportunity, there's a Texas butterfly house in Fair Park which I think is pretty cool as well....

I posted a couple shots under this thread:

I went to the FW exhibit last Friday. I got a couple decent pictures and the crowds aren't bad during the week day.

There were quite a few people with DSLRs in there; and in this manner it wasn't taken as a "professional" photo, such as being paid to shoot a session. Just taking pictures of butterflies with your camera is fine.
