I know we have a few others that like to photograph cycling events, so I thought I'd share this info...
There are two cyclocross races in DFW this weekend, one Saturday in FTW, and the other on Sunday in Denton.
This is the info on the FTW race held at Trinity Park, and
this is the website for the race in Denton. Both have times listed and directions.
Cyclocross is a unique event, and the most demanding of all cycling disciplines. The course is a mixture of pavement and grass, and there are several locations on it that will require the rider to quickly dismount the bike and run with it for a short distance before remounting. The races last from 30 minutes to an hour (depending on the skill / sge level of the individual race) and they are ALL OUT sprints from the start of the race. There is no room for letting up. Makes for some great action.
As of now, I'm only planning on attending the Denton event, but if some TPF'ers are gonna go to the FTW race, I might come over and shoot with ya'll.
