We put a platform on top of our Expedition, so if I want to, I can just stand up there to get a good shot. Will be the highest point in the Red lot. :-P

Well I ended up next to Car Max on International Place and had a great view of the east side of the stadium (which was the last to go down). There were people at a Marriott just to the side up on the 3rd floor balconies that had a good view and then a bunch of folks were on the rooves of their warehouses in the area. NO DUST for us.

The Fireworks were kind of nice and unexpected but never really heard the traditional warning horn before the blasts started-guest that last fireworks blasts stood in for that.

Had a chopper flying just behind us about 500 yards so will be interesting to see the news stations shots.

Well that party is now OVER, wonder how long it will take Irving to find someone to buy that land or work out a development deal for it?
BTW the hotel with the 4 level parking garage was charging $20 a person to set up in their garage!

For all the confused souls out there (i.e. non-Texans)...

Of course we were all SAD when the great historic landmark (Texas Stadium) came down.

We CHEERED because we got to blow up something REALLY big!!! :-)

such a sad thing to see! I have lived in the dfw area since i was 8 months old. texas stadium is older then i am so it is all i have ever known. i am not much of a football fan myself but texas stadium, to me, was a landmark. i have yet to drive by the "carnage" i am going to try to drive past it some time soon im sure.
