If you're looking for something new to shoot, may I suggest taking a drive out to Mineral Wells. At the east border of MW, there is a fantastic photography spot, Clark Gardens Botanical Park. They are celebrating their Spring Festival this weekend, March 27th and 28th. There are loads of things to "shoot".

If you're into architectural photography, drive just a couple more miles and shoot the Baker Hotel. It's in kind of sad shape right now, but the architectual angles and motifs of the building are still plentiful.

There are lots of other things to shoot as well.

Thanks for the tip, Jann!

I've been meaning to head out that way to hit the bike trail. I've heard great things about Clark Gardens.

Good place and photographer friendly.

But, why turn around and come back home ?

Keep going west to Breckenridge and Possum Kingdom Lake.
Nice old Texas town and some very scenic areas around the lake.

Clark Gardens are gorgeous too! I want to go shoot out that way sometime again. Maybe we can get a small group to go. I would love to do more of the architecture out there.

We have a camera club that servers Palo Pinto and Parker Counties. It's called the gr8fotos Camera Club. Since we're so close to Clark Gardens, we spend a good deal of time there through the year.

If you'd like to meet up with some of us, we'd be more than glad to act as "tour guides". Just let us know when!

I shot a wedding at Clark Gardens last September, it was a pretty interesting place. Though the Baker Hotel would be the primary reason to go IMO! :)

Never been. Sounds like a good road trip on the motorcycle!
