Please forgive me if this has recently been covered. Does anyone have recommendations for a nice place for bluebonnet photos in the Bedford or surrounding areas?

Thank you!

While that looks like a neat festival, I am really looking for a place near Bedford. Ennis is over an hour away. I am not wanting to take photos of bluebonnets, but want photos of clients IN bluebonnets.

There are bound to be some soon, including a field off 121 in Grapevine that I've used for clients in the past. But it's still too early for bluebonnets in DFW.

I understand that it is too early for bluebonnets in DFW. I live in Fort Worth. I did not have my business up and running last year at this time, so I don't already have favorite locations established yet for this type of shoot. I just thought this might be a great place to ask. I went to look at a couple of locations that friends told me about yesterday, but obviously I won't know for sure until the flowers appear. I will post when I have found a spot that works for me personally and would love to hear of any others.

The area I mentioned in Grapevine is off Texan Trail just past and behind a row of car dealerships. It's private property, but there are no signs (yet) posted to keep people out of it, and all the areas are unfenced.

Todd - Thank you for the specific location. I will drive by and check it out.

I also found this that might be helpful to someone. Nicole - There is a location in Arlington that is mentioned that might be helpful:

Dallas / Fort Worth Wildflowers

FYI - I checked out the location in Grapevine earlier today. It's very sparse. Hopefully just late blooming.

Everything seems really sparse right now. Anyone know of locations in Fort Worth and/or just North of there?

It's still a little early for our area. I have the best luck starting in mid-April, but won't know for sure until it happens.

North of Fort Worth in Keller there are a few splashes along the city's hiking trail, and also next to its recreation center. I got a great bee-in-flight macro shot last year as the little guy buzzed a young bluebonnet bloom. Haven't been up there yet this year to see how it looks so far.

I found a great field in Trophy Club last year off on Solana off of 114. There is a parking lot because it is across from restaurants. I have not been by this year but hope to make it over this week to check them out. There is also a great park in southlake on White Chapel, north of 1709 behind the Tom Thumb that had an awesome mixed wildflower display last year.
