Good question ... when is the best time to shoot the zoo animals, including the cubs? I understand that the animals are usually most active in the morning and the late afternoon.

Can anyone else share their zoo photographic experiences?

thanks!

The only time I've seen them was in the afternoon last Saturday when they were given steak on some wreaths. This was at 3:15 pm. They were still out playing when I left for other areas at 4:15 pm. I talked to some people that spend a lot of time there just getting shots of the cubs and one lady told me the best times in her opinion were from 2:30 pm on till closing. The sun is not in the best place in the late afternoon for good shots but you can't have everything.
