Does anyone know the laws on photos of a baby's bottom? Is that legal? A client is wanting shots of her holding her baby with the baby's bottom without a diaper on it. No frontal nudity. I don't want to get into legal trouble and don't want the parents to either. Thank you!

Just wanted to mention that the baby is under 6 months of age.

I don't know the law specifically, but lots of people do nekkid bottom shots. My personal rule is they have to be under 1 year old.

If you think it's cute or darling you're OK, but if it makes you want to have sex with infants then it's illegal.

Personally, I think it's perfectly fine. Almost expected, even. How can the parents embarrass the child in front of their future boyfriend/girlfriend without naked baby photos?

I have worked for two national chain studios. Both of those corporate owned studios had the same policy.
If the child is under one year old, naked baby pictures are ok. No frontal nudity allowed.

If you want to use the photos in your portfolio, get a signed model release from both parents.
