and an E-6B from Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City. . .
(an E-6B is kind of an airborn naval command post)

My Dad was stationed at Castle AFB in Merced Ca. and I use to see those B52's daily. That is one big plane.

They are big. . . before the base realignment of 1992, B-52's were common in the skies over west Fort Worth. I grew up with them and KC-135's flying constantly at all hours of the day and night. . .

Was over on White Settlement road today looking for a place for some shots thinking I might run into some regulars over there and never found a spot to shoot. Probably just drove right by it and missed it.

We were at an airshow once and it was the last day, the B-52 had to leave and on take off it came back over the crowd and made a 90 degree roll 500 feet off the ground...talk about awesome!! It is a huge plane and seeing such a dramatic roll from that giant plane was spectaculor.

Wish I had my camera back then! I wouldnt have even need a zoom it was so close overhead!

Keith, I was just running down White Settlement from 820 to Lockeed. Thought I'd heard someone say there was a good place there to shoot, maybe not. I knew I should of gone further north on 820.

What happened to your avatar?

My latest avatar is my favorite picture of Glen Campbell. . . his mug shot a few years ago. . . anyway White Settlement Road has a spot where it runs right into the fence of NASFW. . . on the west side of the base. . . just about 2 blocks south of the main gate into Lockheed. . .

Okay, I think I saw that spot, just didn't stop. One day I'll get out there to shoot a few.
