couple more
ModelMayhem.com - Kelsey Susan - Model - Dallas and anywhere for expenses paid, US
ModelMayhem.com - corey higgins - Model - dallas, US

So this may turn out to be a good idea, no major cost to the models in the DFW area so we may have a nice turnout.

Had a few other models post interest over the last couple days, have had over 100 views of the call so maybe a couple others. Also have had a couple photographers show interest in this event and told them that they would be welcome.

So far no mua or hair folks have shown any interest.

This is what we make of it and since it will basically be no cost to us it will just involve our own sweatwork. (other than maybe a couple bucks for cold/ice water).

Chris, did your MUA pan out? I also know one that is looking for some more exposure... let me know and I can reach out to her.

I am a definite maybe, depending on how tired I am from the wedding the night before. I will probably have at least one more shooter as well.

Paul, let me know how we can help?

Heck even a couple MUA's may find work and if they are from the area (dallas) and things kind of flop they won't loose too much time.

Right now it is just getting the word out to potential models since it looks like we won't be short on shooters.

There are over 150 views on MM for the shoot and I've had about 75 people look at the pbase album so just need to give it some time to gel.

If you do attend you may want to bring some wireless flashes (battery powered) to do some lighting set ups at sunset that may have a nice sky.

So at it gets closer I may even jump on Craigs list if the MM #'s don't look real promising but right now I'm staying away from CL for now because that could pull in a lot of possible weird shooters since they will see that it is an open shoot at the lake.

I'm not really interested in shooting models anymore, but I did when I was still learning posing basics and building my portfolio. I just wanted to say that I worked with Kelsey Susan and she is a real sweetheart and hard worker. It was only her 2nd shoot at the time, so I would expect that she is a lot more experienced now. (Her first photo on her portfolio is mine).

Had a hair person post that they are interested, will list more details on around the 1st as to who we may expect- over 200 views on the shoot now and more each day.
So it looks like 5-6 photo people from here are interested?

This is an outdoor shoot and we take what we get but there is a lot of shade around Pelican Bay and even some at Winfrey Point itself and any backup location with water on a lake would be just a hot. Yes it will be hot and that may make it a harder on makeup but swimwear and sports shooting is usually "not glamour" and the makeup level isn't as intense while the hair we will just have to deal with, we can just hope that the humidity level will be down in the afternoon and the wind won't be too high.
As to the "fresh" look I would believe that if the model is coming to this shoot they have an expectation of the conditions since if you read the description it pretty much indicates that this is an OUTDOOR SHOOT IN JULY IN LATE AFTERNOON.

Folks if it turns out even half way good other shoots throughout the year over the Metroplex, ie The Arts District in Downtown, Over in Ft Worth at several possible locations and other public areas in the Metroplex should grow out from this and give some people without studio space a chance to shoot several models at minimal costs to them with various backgrounds.

Warren the Model Mayhem Casting Call link shows the models who have posted (I have not had any private messages on MM from any models that have not posted on the CC).

If this rain doesn't let up this may be cancelled. I would just say check the national radar site around 4 pm on Sat NWS radar image from Dallas/Fort Worth, TX and see what it looks like. If it has not cleared up consider this a -shoot at your own risk event!

There have been over 250 views of the CC on MM (which is free to join)-not saying that some may be multiple views- so no telling what the turnout will be. HEY IT IS FREE!
