You need to be a pilot to understand that two aircraft this close together at speed and altitude is not something to scoff at. One mistake and both aircraft could be in deep doo doo (highly technical aviation term).

I know my son, he will be 26 in Feb, is having the time of his life now. He just completed his first year of his first four year stint....knowing him, he will make a career of this. He has had a love of airplanes since he was a little boy. This mom is very proud of him!!

So there will be more pics in the future.....

Nice photo,..... - 12-03-2005, 07:27 PM

Just wondering who's controlling the refuelling boom? Are there two people in there?
thanks
Jeff

Best wide-angle lens? Two steps backward. Look for the 'ah-ha'. Ernst Hass

If I remember correctly, there is more than one "Boomer" on the flights.

Close-up of the boom. Would not have wanted to be the first one to try this in mid air.
