Anybody ever shoot the pro-wakeboarding tour?

This is a discussion on Anybody ever shoot the pro-wakeboarding tour? within the Dallas / Fort Worth forums, part of the Texas category; They are in Ft Worth starting tommorrow! I would assume that you would need to shoot at 1/500th or faster ...

They are in Ft Worth starting tommorrow! I would assume that you would need to shoot at 1/500th or faster to lock a good shot in.
Tickets are just $10 a day (if I had known this last week I could have purchased for $5!)

So I guess a 300mm 2.8 with a 1.4 or 2x tele?

No but it sounds fun. I use to wakeboard but got a concussion and split the skin between my ear and head in a fall. No more wakeboarding.

What about a 600mm? They have one at Arlington Camera, not sure if it is reserved though.

I have a 500mm f8 mirror lens if I have to reach far, along with the extenders, but the lake isn't that wide that they are competing on (it's on 820 just north of I-30) and I'm shooting a full frame body so can crop down.

Don't think I would go out tomorrow because of the rain but may change my mind in the morning.
