Rediscovering Fort Worth - 11-30-2005, 06:32 PM

I've lived in Ft. Worth basically all of my life and have been shooting for err about 4 years and sadly I just realized that I don't have any pictures that represent Fort Worth or even Texas for that matter.

When I get home mid-Dec I'm doing a "What makes Ft. Worth unique from every other city?" self project.

Any suggestions?

Right now I am soo gonna cover the stock yards because the buildings are beautiful, the evironment is very western... a bit touristy but still western and that and Risky's BBQ makes me think Ft. Worth...

What else am I missing?

Water Gardens and the little water park across the street from the courthouse...

Fort Worth Zoo is nationally recognized..

Botanic Gardens are fantastic

TCU is very photogenic

Tandy and Pier One buildings are also very photogenic

The log cabin Village across university from the zoo. The Old Court house. And I am sure many other things that I cannot think of or have been mentioned yet.

Fort Worth is changing so fast but still keeps it's heritage. I went out this afternoon to get some downtown skyline shots. You'd think it was my first visit here and I've been in Fort Worth my whole life. It's still a great town even with the traffic problems we sometimes have.
