Large luxurious driveway - 06-14-2010, 11:43 AM

Tasked with shooting a Lexus for an online feature, and I'd like to get it in front of a large luxury home with a huge driveway. Short of ringing doorbells, I'd like some suggestions on where to go. Perhaps a million dollar home that is for sale that would be vacant outside for us to shoot.

Would prefer a European or Tuscan style home.

Help!! :)

Hmm, southfork is right by my house...i might check it out. There are some houses in the city of Parker that might fit the bill too. I'll drive by there tonight after work too.

If you have a particular house in mind that is on the market, my suggestion would be to contact the realtor and have him/her contact the owners for permission. Or, if a house is not on the market, you can find out who owns it via the local tax assessor's office and try to contact the owner for permission. Obviously, either way, you'd need a signed release from the property owner to use commercially.

Find the right house, and there's bound to already be a Lexus in the driveway.

None of my suggestions are close to you, but there's actually a neighborhood near me (close to Fort Worth) that has a Tuscan-style house on a cul-de-sac. Beautiful house with two flights of stairs going up to the front door. It's huge! There is also a gated neighborhood of mansions (think triple-size of the typical McMansion) that have nice landscaping and driveways. That's in Westlake, where the Jonas Brothers live.

Wherever you go, I agree that you need to secure permission and a signed release from the owners. Even if a house is for sale, somebody (even if it's a bank) still owns it.
