Snow tomorrow, get your gears ready

This is a discussion on Snow tomorrow, get your gears ready within the Dallas / Fort Worth forums, part of the Texas category; Don't count on Texas weather but 80% looking good for me. What would be the best place for snow landscaping??...

I think Thursday will be better. We're not supposed to get the snow until late afternoon and/or evening tomorrow night (like around 8 or 9).

We already have sleet (and have since about 8:00 this morning) so I think we'll have snow soon. I live north of FW (kinda near TMS or Alliance Airport). It is COLD out there. Of course, my idiot puppy loves it and keeps wanting to go outside to play in it!

It started snowing here right after I posted. It's about 22 degrees. I'm trying to convince my husband to come home at lunch or something. Our driveway is already a skating rink so I know the roads aren't too far behind.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. Hope it makes it to Canton. I work in Tyler so perhaps I will have a pleasant surprise when I get home this evening. My camera is with me today at the office so may be able to get some shots on the way home this evening!!

Its 32-34 degrees (depending on where you are and who you listen to) and just plain nasty here in the Austin area. When it finally dips into the 20's here the roads are going to be a parking lot and the towing companies are going to make a fortune.

Hope everyone makes it home safely.

Best snow landscaping ? - 12-07-2005, 01:26 PM

This photo was taken on Valentines day in 2003 in Valdasta (NE of McKinney) ... it was a heavy wet snow .... if it snows tonight, I doubt it will be this heavy ... being a transplanted Yankee ... I miss the snow covered winters (for about two days !) Everybody be careful of the "other" guys on the roads.

It's funny how different the climate is - just 4-5 hours away! I've seen snow twice my entire life living on the coast.

Not sure if I would call ya'll lucky or not...I prefer warm weather :) But it does make for some amazing landscapes. And I noticed last Christmas the thick blanket even made the trailor parks look good! lol
