I went last year.... a lot of old stuff from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Prices were fairly high according to someone who was there who seemed to know the value on these type of older models and lenses.

Well, I know the guys from Don's said they would have a bunch of stuff out there. Half there stuff is usually over-priced and half is under-priced. I guess you just need to know what you are looking for and how to barter.

I'll be there. These are less fun than they used to be, but still worth a few minutes and a few bucks. I almost always buy some little trinket.

would you be willing to keep an eye out for some 11x14" camera parts/gear? My schedule just got kind of tight, so I may not be able to make it down there. However, I can PM you my phone number (or you can get it off my website at Jason Janik: Welcome... rock out... look at my photos... Austin & Dallas, TX Editorial and Commercial Photographer pretty easy) and you can call me if you spot something.

I'm looking for an old 11x14 back with ground glass, and also any cheap 11x14 cut film holders... If I had a set of eyes there for me, I could either try and make it down there when you spot something, or pay you to pick it up for me (with a finders fee/bonus for your effort)?!?

Bill Moritz out of Chicago is at the show and has a lot of large format stuff at home. If you don't find anything else I can get his number for you to call him direct and check. He has a lot of stuff and knows a lot of stuff about large format so would be a good contact.

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I know 11x14 isn't as plentiful as 8x10 gear, but someone must have some parts and pieces to sell. I'm wanting to find a back that's pretty much complete, so I can adapt it to this huge process camera I have. It won't be hard to frankenstein a back to it.

I can build one from scratch if I have to (I've seen back springs and ground glass on ebay to help me scratch build one), but I'd prefer the easier way of just making a mount for a pre-made back!

I went yesterday and got a few really good deals. I got a Nikkor AF 80-200mm D f2.8 for $450. It's in mint condition. This is the last model of the push pull variety. I don't own any other push pull lenses and was a bit nervous about that since I know some lenses have problems with lens creep. This one seemed nice and tight though so I don't think it will become a problem. I took it out for some test shots yesterday and I am very impressed with it.

I also got a brand new backdrop stand with case for $50.
