Addison or Grapevine Lake Locations - 10-18-2010, 01:50 PM

Hello, I need a spot in Addison and a good place around Grapevine lake to take some family photos in the next week or so. One of the families will be bringing their dogs so it has to be pet friendly and outdoors. Anyone know of a good spot in either of these cities? Thanks in advance for your help.

You should try Grapevine Botanical gardens its located on 411 Ball st, past great wolf lodge. I heard that Addison circle is pretty cool to take photos as well.

Rock Ledge Park/North Shore is good. Small fee to enter. Can be crowded.
GoogleMaps

I'd also check out Horseshoe. It's an area popular with mountain bikers and hikers. You'll need to scout it first for what you're looking for.

The "Hood Ln" you see there is closed to cars. It's a paved road that gives access to all the trails.

I've been to the botanical garden in Grapevine but was looking for something that I would take pictures of a big family and their huge dogs:) I will check out those spots at Grapevine Lake this weekend and see if it's what I'm looking for. Thanks for sharing.

My sister lives in Grapevine and suggests Nash Farm and the railroad station.

Addison location - 10-27-2010, 04:45 PM

I just finished a weekend of mini-shoots in a small park behind the Addison Town Hall on Beltline Rd, east of the tollway. It has a stream with waterfalls, large rocks with lots of shade. You can check out my blog at moxishots photography for sample photos. It is a public park located behind the Town Hall. If you want a gazebo or pond, go a little further on Beltline on the south side of the street. No parking but you can walk to it. Good Luck!
