Dallas: First Baptist Church Implosion

Should happen at 8:00am tomorrow Sat Oct 30th. They are not encouraging anyone to come watch in person as you will not be able to see it. They are shutting down the streets that lead up to it. BUT you can watch it live on TV.

I actually set up on the east side about a block and a half from the buildings-saw the top 3 and 4 floors of two buildings go down but rest was blocked by a lowrise between us. Nice dust cloud.

Not many people at all out an about-I started on the west side and walked around to find this spot-had Chan 4 set up right next to me with their ground cam and a reporter-did not seen the clip on the news though, world series kind of ate up airtime over the weekend.

Not the best implosion since there was no real good vantage point to watch it from-2 helicopters probably ahd the best view-saw Ch 5''s footage from the bird and it was pretty good.

Even though there were 4 buildings going down not that much explosives were used overall.

Got real close to the rubble (across street from it) about 2 hours after the explosion till one of the demo guys ran me off.
