Arboretum lunch Trip - Friday 16 Dec... - 12-14-2005, 08:59 PM

I am planning to be at the Arboretum for an extended lunch on Friday the 16th of December. (From around 11:30am-1pm.)

It is supposed to be cloudy and although it might be a bit chilly , I haven't been out at the arboretum in a while.

My group will possibly be from 2 to 4 photographers (I have one other positive and 2 maybes.)

If you are interested in joining us, I would love to have you. Let me know by PM if you are interested and I will give you my cell number to make it easier to find each other.

Alan
I can assume that since this was posted on the Dallas/fort worth thread that you mean the Dallas Arboretum ???
Some of us don't know where you live.
Some of us don't go through each of the seperate sections like photojournalism, etc. but just click on "new posts" to see what has come on since the last time we looked.

I wish I could go with y'all but I have a corporate shoot all day friday.
Post some photos when you get back..

my wife went there yesterday. In the areas she saw, All the outside flowers were frozen and not pretty. they were planting some pansies.

there was a lot of christmas stuff inside that was pretty.

she is not a photographer but was questioning me as to why I would want to go.

Cool Why photographers enjoy it more! - 12-15-2005, 10:25 AM

I will be using a macro lens, and when you only need a single bloom you tend to have much more success than a non photographer that is looking at the "bigger" picture.

For a great example of this, I like the following:

Here is the best example I can come up with for why I love photography!!

What most people see:

I'm actually waiting now for all of the foliage to come off of the trees before going back to White Rock. You can get some very interesting shots of bare tree limbs but that won't be until after Christmas since the leaves are hanging on strong still, at least on the oaks.
