Identify Super Bowl in DFW - 01-28-2011, 11:56 AM

Super Bowl in DFW. I want to travel around the Metroplex next week to photograph different things about the Super Bowl being in our town. I am looking for huge signs, banners, emblems, logos, things of that sort. What have you seen that has been put up temporally or permanently for the Super Bowl XLV?
An example of what I am looking for is like the giant XLV that has been put up in front of the convention center.

There is some crazy fun stuff at the Walmart (of all places) across from the stadium. This helmet was built of Sprite and Fanta boxes and they have full size football players on a field all constructed from Dr. Pepper stuff. Not sure if it what you're looking for, but definitely had that Wow factor.

Go Packers!

Erin,

I am not seeing the picture on this forum, but I was able to see it on Facebook. Yeah that is the kind of thing I am looking for.

BUT you can just tell me about it. I don't necessarily need to see a picture.

Don't forget about downtown Fort Worth, Sundance Square specifically. ESPN is setting up shop and the Steelers are staying at the Omni. Lots of signage and a pretty cool Texas "sculpture" that ESPN will donate to the City.

They have put large banners on the new yet to be completed convention center hotel in downtown, also large pictures of some of the players are being put up on the windows of the two team hotels

The NFC hotel is across the street from my office:

And, as stated earlier, the AFC hotel is the Omni in downtown FTW.

Anyone know which gate/terminal the Packers arrive? I've read they come in at 3:30 at DFW, but I wasn't sure if the specifics on the "where." Would love to welcome my home team and get a few pics if allowed. Thanks!

The public won't be able to get near the Packers, same as the Steelers earlier today, and they are running late so closer to 4:15.

The new suspension Bridge arch will be lit with blue floodlights, same as many Dallas Downtown buildings (may be a good time to do a downtown shot) while Ft Worth is doing theirs in Red.

Maybe check out FairPark during the day to see if anything is at the Cotton Bowl and Tower Buildings since they both have multiple night parties. (Check out my Super Bowl post of all the parties around town).
