Nice pans. How close were you to the Lancaster bridge on that second one?

There is a little footbridge just down the way. Thats where I was. Just for fun I shot this one of the bridge. Pans are so much fun!!! Seven photos in one here.

WTx, nice pano of the bridge. What software are you using to stitch the images? Have you tried some multirow panos? I think the bridge might have been a little better if you had some more sky at the top of the picture.

Olympus Camedia. Its a pretty cheap camera and program. The camera is an Olympus C-725UZ. The package, camera and program, only cost me $200. Not the best by far but all I could afford at the time. It has auto and manual stitch but the auto stitch usually does just fine.

True, in fact after I stitched this I thought to myself I should have backed up a bit to get the top of the bridge. I was just suprised I got this good of a result with seven seperate photos. I may have to go back and try again to see if I can do better.

These are pretty cool, and there's no shame in using a P&S.

My first digicam was an Olympus 490 and I used the heck out of it. The camedia s/w is actually pretty well written and easy to use...err...at least 8 years ago it was, but it sure looks like it still does a super job with your panos.

Thanks, I really like night photography and that little camera allows me to do that. The manual settings are pretty easy to use with a little practice. One of these days I might have to go all out and get something good. Right now I have kids college and things like that to worry about.

I've still got the camedia software on my computer. I'd also still be shooting some places with my little C2020Z if it didn't get broken. Of course if it didn't get broken I propbably wouldn't have a 20D either. Wish that Olympus still worked. There some places I go where it would be real handy.

That bridge is the one I was talking about being the Lancaster bridge. I crawled up those stairs by the basketball court with my wife going up in front of me just to get a shot of downtown from that angle. I remember there was some stong winds that about blew us over!

Fyi, I don't know what direction you went once you got up the stairs but there is another set to the left in the pic above. That might save you some walking on that thin sidewalk. I thnk its pretty close to Trinity Blvd.
